Content on this website — including sizing ranges, cost ranges, runtime expectations and outage guidance — is general information for homeowners, not an engineering recommendation for a specific property. Equipment selection must be based on a load calculation and site review for your actual home. Do not rely on this website alone to make a purchase or safety decision.

Quote requests and estimates

• Submitting a form does not create a contract or reserve equipment.
• Prices and ranges shown on this site are indicative only and are not offers. A binding price is provided only in a written quote issued after a site assessment.
• Written quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote and are subject to change if site conditions, equipment availability, permitting requirements or scope change.
• You confirm that the information you submit is accurate and that you are authorized to request work at the property described.

Scope of work, permits and inspections

Installation work is performed by licensed trades in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, provincial gas regulations and applicable municipal bylaws. Required electrical, gas and placement permits are obtained and inspections completed. Where a property requires an electrical service upgrade, structural work, tree removal, landscaping restoration or utility coordination beyond the quoted scope, those items are quoted separately and are the property owner's responsibility unless stated otherwise in writing.

Property owner responsibilities

• providing safe site access for equipment, materials and personnel;
• disclosing known buried services, drainage, wells and septic fields;
• obtaining strata, landlord or architectural committee approval where required;
• maintaining the fuel supply where propane is used;
• keeping the unit accessible and clear for service and ventilation.

Warranty

Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the documentation supplied with the unit. Installation workmanship is warranted as stated in your written quote or contract. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized modification, failure to perform required maintenance, fuel supply problems outside our control, or events such as flood, fire, lightning or vandalism.

Maintenance and performance

A standby generator is a mechanical system that requires scheduled maintenance, including annual service and battery testing, to remain dependable. No generator, transfer switch or installation can be guaranteed to operate under every possible condition. Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of uninterrupted power.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability arising from use of this website is limited. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses — including spoiled food, water damage, business interruption or lost income — arising from reliance on general information published here. Liability in connection with installed work is governed by your written contract.

Text, layout, imagery and design on this site are owned by the site operator and may not be copied or republished without permission. Manufacturer names, model designations and trademarks referenced for descriptive purposes remain the property of their respective owners, and reference to them does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Governing law
