This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why it is collected, how it is used and stored, and what choices you have. It applies to vangen.ca and to the quote request forms on it.

• Information you give us. When you submit a quote request we collect your name, email address, phone number, the area or city you selected, the type of service you are interested in, and any message you write.
• Technical information. Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data such as the page you submitted from, request timestamps and general server logs, which are used for security and reliability.
• We do not collect payment details, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information through this website.

Why we collect it

Your information is used only to:

• contact you about the request you submitted;
• prepare a generator sizing recommendation and price estimate;
• schedule a site visit or follow up on an open quote;
• keep records of work quoted and performed;
• meet legal, permitting and warranty obligations.

Consent

By submitting a form you consent to being contacted about your request by phone, email or text. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any message and asking us to stop, and we will close the file and remove you from follow-up.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Information may be shared only with service providers who help operate this business — for example website hosting and database providers, email and scheduling software, and, where your project requires it, equipment suppliers, licensed subtrades or municipal permitting authorities. Those parties receive only what is necessary to perform their function. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Storage and security

Form submissions are stored in a managed, access-controlled cloud database. Access is limited to personnel who need it in order to respond to your request. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.

Retention

Quote request information is retained for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, where work proceeds, for as long as required to support warranty, permitting and record-keeping obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymized.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses minimal browser storage to remember whether the quote form has already been shown during your visit. If analytics or advertising tools are added in future, this policy will be updated to describe them before they are used.

Your rights

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, to withdraw consent, and to request deletion. Requests can be sent through the contact form on this site and will be answered within 30 days.

Children

This website is intended for adult homeowners and property managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version.
